Victor Watson, known to all simply as ‘Vic’ has been a Huddersfield Town Crier since 1998 and provides his Town Crier Services to the general public throughout the Huddersfield/Kirklees area. Vic manages all his operations from his home situated in Dalton, Huddersfield.

During his 13 years of experience, Vic has represented Huddersfield in many diverse competitions often resulting in a mixture of 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd places.

Two such competitions where Vic has repeatedly proved himself to be a true winner are the:

• Best Dressed Crier – Won on seven separate occasions
• Best Ambassador – Won on five separate occasions

When asked to share a few words about being in such a fortunate position, Vic said…

“I have been Town Crier for thirteen years and always tried to do my best.”

I am very proud of Huddersfield it is a great town, any visitor arriving by rail can see a magnificent view as they leave the station, with fountains and a great water feature, what a welcome!”

We asked Vic to name a few of Huddersfield’s best bits. He added…

“There are some really interesting things to do in the town from all types of shops, some great restaurants, and one or two very interesting public houses, Greenhead Park is now a wonderful place to visit, and there are some great museum’s that cover the towns history.”
